McKay Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

McKay Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

We are a 42-bed skilled nursing and long-term care environment designed to meet both short- and long-term care needs. We participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs as well as accepting private pay residents. The McKay team considers it a privilege to care for those requiring short-term rehabilitation services in order to return to home quickly to the residents who require extensive personal care to meet their daily needs for years to come.

Our building was originally commissioned in 1935 as a Veteran’s Hospital with an emphasis on researching and testing the benefits of Soap Lake’s mud and waters to treat Buerger’s Disease, a common affliction for male veterans of that time. Coming in to the building is reminiscent of a different era with long halls, big resident rooms, and well-placed common areas such as the fireside room, dining room, indoor garden room, therapy room, and a community conference room. Modern amenities are noted throughout in harmony with the architecture and include wi-fi and fiber internet, individually wired cable TVs, resident lifts, a spa tub room, hot and cold food carts, and a friendly, smiling face wherever you go.

McKay is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere provided by our caring staff to meet your needs. Please click here to contact us or to ask a question.
